Then gently ask yourself:
What feels threatened?
What am I trying to protect?
Now ask:
What am I assuming is true?
What might I be missing?

So ask yourself:
What do I want instead?
Then consider one small step you feel ready to take as you open yourself to the possibility that things can be different.
